2 Kings 23:1-30 (30vs)
- "..The king [Josiah] went up to the house of Yahweh, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of Yahweh."
Psalm 44 (23vs)
- "We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us, what work you did in their days, in the days of old.."
EVENT - 609 BC: on Pharaoh Necho's way to meet the Babylonians at Carchemish in Syria, Judah's King Josiah tried to stop Egypt from the intended battle. Josiah was killed at Megiddo and buried at Jerusalem.
